Request Account Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your Academic Ally account and associated personal data at any time, in accordance with UK and EU GDPR.
What will be deleted
- Your account profile (name, email, academic information)
- All service requests and associated correspondence
- Uploaded documents and files
- Study preferences and notification settings
- Flashcard sets and study session data
What may be retained
Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics (not linked to your identity) and records required by law (e.g. billing records, fraud prevention) may be retained for up to 2 years in compliance with applicable legal obligations.
Timeframe: Deletion is completed within 7–30 days of identity verification.
How the process works
Submit your request
Use the form below or the public contact listed on this page with the subject line "Account Deletion Request – Academic Ally".
Identity verification
We will verify your identity by sending a confirmation email to the address registered on your account.
Deletion processed
Once verified, your account and associated personal data will be deleted within 30 days.
Confirmation sent
You will receive a final confirmation email once your data has been fully removed from our systems.
